If you travel a lot, it’s good to know if you have anything important heading to your mailbox. The United States Post Office offers a free service called Informed Delivery where you can receive an email with images of the pieces of mail headed to you.
Informed Delivery allows you to digitally preview your mail and manage your packages scheduled to arrive soon with greyscale images of the exterior, address side of letter-sized mailpieces.
Also, if you have packages on the way you can see the tracking and check on their status, too.
It’s easy to sign up – just create an account at USPS.com, verify your identity and address, and then you will begin receiving notifications.
Images via Informed Delivery are only provided for letter-sized mailpieces that are processed through USPS’ automated equipment. That’s pretty much everything that comes to me, especially business-related items.
