I have a system for managing my business cards at a conference, so I can make the process of giving and receiving cards as fast and efficient as possible.
I keep my own business cards in my right pocket, so then I am never fumbling through a pile of other people’s business cards while I look for one of mine to give.
As I hand my business cards to people I ask for their business card in return, and I put their card in my left pocket.
Also, I always have a pen on me to write notes on their card to remind me why I want to follow-up with them.
I see some people use the name badge holder to store their cards or those that they receive.
Whichever way you do it, just work out some system, so you’re not fishing for your business cards when you need them.
