Some of the best connections at conferences are serendipitous, whether you are in an elevator, at the hotel gym, or in line for coffee – you never know who you might run into at a conference.
But you don’t have to wait for the magic to happen. You can increase the number of people you meet with one simple trick: AirDrop.
Just take a photo of you and some sort of call to action telling people to meet you at the bar, Starbucks, or whatever. Mention the conference name or hashtag, so you don’t come across as a creeper.
Then share that picture to anybody who shows up in your AirDrop range, which is approximately 30 feet.
Chances are good that anybody receiving your AirDrop invitation is attending the conference.
Worst case scenario is that you meet somebody new and have a quick chat, but you might also end up talking to somebody who can be a great partner in the future.
Sorry Android people.
